How We Built CPSTest.org to Help Minecraft Gamers Train Like Esports Pros

Minecraft isn’t just a game, it's a battlefield for millions of PvP warriors worldwide. In those clutch moments, one thing makes all the difference: clicking speed. But mastering fast, accurate clicks hasn’t always been easy. Most tools were clunky, outdated, or hidden behind Minecraft servers.

That’s when we decided to change the game. We built CPSTest.org a browser-based training platform that helps Minecraft players test and improve their clicking speed like true esports pros.

Why We Built CPSTest.org

Like many Minecraft players, we spent hours perfecting our PvP skills studying movement, mastering hotkeys, and grinding every duel. But when it came to clicking speed, there was no simple way to practice outside the game itself.

Every time we wanted to warm up or test our CPS (Clicks Per Second), we had to boot up Minecraft, find a server, and deal with lag or downtime. We thought: why isn’t there a fast, clean way to test CPS in the browser without needing to open the game at all?

That frustration sparked the idea behind CPSTest.org.

We weren’t just gamers, we were builders too. So we set out to create a lightweight, responsive tool that would make CPS testing accessible to anyone, anywhere, on any device. Whether you’re a school kid using a mobile phone, a competitive PvPer on a gaming PC, or just someone trying to improve your mouse control—we wanted to give everyone a frictionless way to train.

From that simple idea, the CPS Test was born.

What started as a weekend project turned into a full-fledged platform. And as more Minecraft players discovered it, we kept listening, iterating, and expanding the tool based on what the community needed.

The Kohi Legacy: Where It All Started

Before browser-based tools existed, Minecraft players used Kohi servers to measure their CPS. Kohi, known for its Hardcore Factions and PvP modes, became the unofficial benchmark for testing click speed. It was an offshoot of MineHG (itself a spin-off of MCPVP), and though it eventually merged with Badlion, its impact on the Minecraft PvP scene was massive.

But there was a problem: it wasn’t accessible. You had to log in every time just to test. It worked, but it was clunky.

We loved Kohi. But we knew the next step was to bring that same functionality out of the server and into the browser. That way, players could train anywhere, anytime with no downloads, no Minecraft required.

What Makes CPSTest.org Different?

When we launched CPSTest.org, we didn’t just want to copy what already existed—we wanted to build something that truly helped players train smarter.

Most click speed tools online were either too basic, full of ads, or didn’t feel tailored to the gaming community. We knew Minecraft gamers deserved something better, something built by gamers, for gamers.

Here’s how CPSTest.org stands apart:

Click Tests Designed for Real Gamers

We didn’t stop at a single click test. We developed dedicated modes like the Jitter Click Test and Kohi Click Test, inspired by the exact techniques Minecraft PvPers use in duels. Whether you're practicing your butterfly clicking test or trying to master drag clicking, we’ve got you covered.

Multiple Time Modes to Push Your Limits

From quick 1-second CPS test to intense 100-second clicks test challenges, we offer a range of time-based tests to help players measure and improve their speed over time. This flexibility lets you practice your burst speed, stamina, and control all in one place.

No Installs. No Hassle. Just Click and Go.

Our platform runs entirely in the browser on desktop, mobile, or tablet. No downloads. No server logins. Just open CPSTest.org and start training instantly. We built this tool to be fast, lightweight, and 100% friction-free.

Guides, Videos & Tutorials That Actually Help

We go beyond testing. On our blog and YouTube channel, we share in-depth guides on how to improve clicking techniques, avoid hand strain, and optimize your mouse settings. We're not just a tool, we're your training partner.

Community Recognition

We love giving shoutouts to users who improve their clicking speed or break personal records. Our YouTube channel regularly features user-submitted CPS tests, showcasing the grind, dedication, and crazy-fast fingers behind the scores.

At its core, CPSTest.org isn’t about showing off big numbers, it's about growth. We believe in giving every player, from beginner to pro, the tools to improve their game and have fun doing it.

Introducing the CPSTest.org Dashboard

Most click speed test tools stop at a number. You click, you see your CPS, and… that’s it. We wanted to go way beyond that.

That’s why we built the CPSTest.org Dashboard, a first-of-its-kind feature designed to help gamers track progress, stay motivated, and push personal limits over time. It’s not just about how fast you can click once… it’s about how much better you can become.

Track Your Journey

With a free user account, players can save their CPS scores, view past results, and identify how their speed improves over time. Whether you're practicing daily or testing new techniques, your data stays with you.

Play Challenges, Unlock Skills

We’re building a system of gamified challenges within the dashboard—mini milestones that reward consistency and effort. Think “10-day streaks,” “Fastest 1-Second Burst,” or “Best Drag Click Session.” It’s training, but fun.

Practice Modes. Personalized.

The dashboard lets you switch between different test modes quickly, compare your best scores, and even set personal benchmarks to aim for in future sessions.

Accessible Across Devices

Your progress isn’t locked to one device. Whether you're practicing on a school Chromebook, a gaming rig, or a mobile phone your stats stay synced and ready wherever you go.

We didn’t see anyone else offering this for Minecraft gamers so we built it ourselves. The CPSTest.org Dashboard transforms click testing into a personal training platform, helping players build speed, endurance, and confidence with every click.

What’s Next for CPSTest.org

When we first launched CPSTest.org, our goal was simple: help gamers test their clicking speed without needing to log into Minecraft servers. But the response from the community showed us this was bigger than just a tool, it was becoming a core part of how players train, improve, and level up.

And we’re just getting started.

Coming Soon:

  • Global Leaderboards - So players can compare scores, compete with friends, and climb the ranks.
  • Multiplayer Click Duels - Face off in real-time click battles to test your nerves under pressure.
  • Advanced Analytics - Visualize your progress with detailed graphs, streak stats, and heatmaps of performance.
  • Mobile App - A lightweight version of CPSTest.org for iOS and Android, so players can train anytime, anywhere.
  • More Game Modes - Including double-click, spacebar tapping, and hybrid challenges for FPS and rhythm game fans.

We built this platform for players like us competitive, curious, and hungry to improve. As we grow, we’ll keep listening to our users and building features that help Minecraft gamers train like esports pros because every millisecond matters.

Final Thought

At the end of the day, CPSTest.org is more than just a click speed tester; it's a training ground, a community hub, and a launchpad for the next generation of Minecraft warriors. Whether you're just starting out or aiming for pro-level PvP, we built this platform to help you get there one click at a time.

So start small. Track your progress. Challenge yourself. And remember every great player was once a beginner with slow clicks.

Let’s level up together.
